Jaiden's lying also makes this worse, because he lives so far away, so we have to trust him as an unreliable narrator to tell us about his life. How Papp views himself

People may wonder why there is such a curiosity towards Papp and other figures similar to him? Why do people care so much about this dude? What makes him special? Why is an entire Wikipedia made about him?

This question can be applied not just to Jaiden, but to other people such as Chippy, Doouglas, etc. To outside observers, there is not much that is extraordinary about these people, but they have attracted attention and intrigue.

The answer to this is that these people are mysterious, or "difficult or impossible to understand, explain, or identify". This mysterious aspect makes these characters very interesting; since they often are deliberately enigmatic, people are curious about their activities. A common impact of this mysterious nature is that these mysterious people are often glazed, as people want to learn more about them.

Characteristics of Mysterious Men

Usually, there are some common aspects that can be used to identify mysterious men. Here are the main traits and their examples.

  • Lack of Contact/Distance: People such as Papp or Damien Williams live multiple miles away, meaning that actually seeing them is limited, because it is difficult to get them to come to a function in person. This means that the only way to talk to them regularly online, limiting how much is known about them. This enables Schizos like Papp to lie about their life, because nobody actually goes to his school, so they cannot verify or deny their claims. This also means that if these people cut off contact for a certain amount of time, they become even more mysterious, which applies to both Papp and Chippy who are rarely talked to. This makes glazers such as PG and BLau more curious about these people such as Chippy or Papp, as whatever small amount of information is revealed about them attracts attention. Examples:
    • (1a) Papp's instagram notes: these schizo notes are the only insight into Papp's life, so they are analyzed extensively
    • (1b) Papp Hiatuses: Papp would go on hiatuses often in the OG era, making him more mysterious. Even when he was living in fairfield, he would still do this mysterious bullshit which made him glazed.
    • (2)Chippy's AK 47: After not talking to chippy for months, it is suddenly revealed that he had bought an AK-47. This attracted a lot of attention because it was the first thing heard about him in a while.
  • Schizophrenia: Many of the most mysterious men are schizos. This means that they will have very erratic behavior, confusing onlookers and making them curious about the mysterious men. For example, Papp is an erratic figure and is very bipolar, especially in the original Carl's Cult Days, where he would have random mental breakdowns/hiatus, leaving and causing the lack of contact mentioned before. Another example is Doogulas, who believes in the "foxhole theory" and is schizo about people being his opps, causing him to become schizo and mysterious; this makes people curious about what he is doing.
  • Lone Wolf Mentality: Most mysterious men are lone wolves to an extent. They would prefer to be alone as opposed to interacting with other people, for a variety of reasons. This leads to less contact with others, and can be made worse if they are also schizo. This gives the max level mystery, because they oppose human contact. A big example of this would be Alanzo, who has completely stopped talking to everyone online or in person, making him the most mysterious man available.

Papp as a mysterious man

Jaiden embodies all these traits and is the original mysterious man. This has contributed to why he still gets attention in recent times over many years, where other people would fade into obscurity. One of the big reasons for this is that he edges everyone, acting mysterious for the majority of time, but edging you and giving you a little bit of information about himself to keep you interested. This makes people curious about him for a long time, as Papp will go on a months long hiatus, before texting PG some bullshit, making an instagram note, or lying about coming to a function. He has done this for years, in quarantine, he would go on hiatuses for a long time and then come back, and do other dumb bullshit.

Lying

Jaiden's lying also makes this worse, because he lives so far away, so we have to trust him as an unreliable narrator to tell us about his life. It is common knowledge that he is a compulsive liar, so generally, trusting anything he says is a dumb idea. This makes it so difficult to know anything about him, as much of it has to be theory because he cannot be trusted, so anything he says is either fully true, partially true, or a lie (most likely this one).
